Role Overview:
As Social Media Marketing Coordinator, you will be responsible for driving content creation, social media growth, and audience engagement across the company.
This is a content-first role, ideal for someone who lives and breathes social media, understands what performs and can turn ideas into engaging content quickly.
You’ll work closely with the Head of Growth to execute a high-volume, high-quality content strategy designed to build brand awareness, nurture audiences and generate lead opportunities.
From creating reels to writing captions, managing comments, and supporting newsletters and email campaigns, you’ll own the day-to-day execution of our social and content presence.
Key Responsibilities (Primary)
Content Creation
- Create daily content across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube and Twitter
- Produce short-form video (Reels, TikTok-style, YouTube Shorts)
- Design static posts, carousels and basic graphics using Canva
- Write engaging captions aligned with each brand’s voice
- Develop newsletters, EDMs, and blog content that support campaigns and brand storytelling
- Turn ideas, briefs, and raw material into polished, on-brand content
AI Usage & Content Integrity
- Execute content creation with minimal reliance on AI-generated outputs
- Use AI tools as a support mechanism only (e.g. ideation, editing, efficiency), not as the primary method of content production
- Ensure final content reflects original thinking and authentic brand voice
- Maintain accountability for the quality, accuracy, and tone of all published content
Social Media Management
- Schedule and publish content across all platforms
- Manage comments, DMs, and audience engagement in a timely manner
- Stay on top of trends, formats, and platform updates
- Adapt content style, tone, and messaging across to reflect each brand
Content Repurposing
- Repurpose long-form content into multiple short-form assets
- Maintain a consistent posting cadence across all channels
- Build and manage a structured content calendar for both branding
Performance & Growth
- Track engagement, reach, and content performance
- Identify what’s working and what’s not
Search (SEO & SEM) Support
- Support basic SEO execution including keyword research, blog optimisation, and on-page content updates
- Assist with writing and formatting SEO-friendly blog content
- Support setup and maintenance of Google Ads (SEM) campaigns where required (Basic)
- Monitor basic campaign performance and report on key metrics (traffic, clicks, conversions)
- Work with the Head of Growth to align paid and organic content strategies
Campaign Support
- Support launches, campaigns, and promotions through social media execution
- Align content with broader marketing initiatives and funnels
- Assist with basic email or funnel content where required
Additional Responsibilities (Support Functions)
- Support student enrolment coordination, including follow-ups on incomplete applications
- Assist with follow-up of outstanding student payments and payment plan reminders
- Support student onboarding communications and basic engagement messaging
- Maintain accurate CRM records across student and lead pipelines
- Assist with coordination of course launches, intake campaigns, and webinar/event registrations
- Support re-engagement of warm leads and prospective students through email and DM follow-ups
What We’re Looking For
- 1–3+ years’ experience in social media marketing or content creation
- Strong skills in short-form video creation
- Comfortable being hands-on with editing, and posting
- Strong copywriting skills for captions and hooks
- Understanding of what performs on Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter
- Highly organised and able to manage daily posting cadence
- Fast, proactive, and execution-focused
Tools
- Canva (paid) – design and content creation
- Email & WhatsApp – internal and external communication
- Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube – social media platforms (additional platforms may be added as the strategy expands). Such as TikTok
- Buffer – content scheduling and publishing
- Active Campaign – email marketing, newsletters, and automation
- Tape – CRM system
