Job Application Code: 003799RL (add this to the application form)
Shift: Part Time, Monday to Friday, AU Dayshift hours (20 hours per week).
Role Overview:
Rob runs a business that helps companies set up and run Claude Code and AI-agent workflows. Every new client currently needs a live, hands-on setup session – installing Claude Code, configuring skills and integrations, and troubleshooting whatever comes up along the way. He’s looking for a Claude Code Setup Specialist to take that workload off his plate so client onboarding can scale without adding more hours to his week.
Primary Mission
Own the technical onboarding experience for new clients – running smooth setup sessions, documenting what breaks, and becoming the first point of contact for routine “my Claude Code isn’t working” requests.
Key Responsibilities
Client Setup Sessions
- Run live screen-share setup sessions with clients: installing Claude Code and its dependencies, configuring skills and tokens, and connecting integrations (Calendar, HubSpot, Notion, Drive, and similar).
- Follow a defined setup runbook, and help improve it, documenting what breaks and how it gets fixed so the process becomes easier to repeat.
Escalation & Communication
- Flag anything that needs founder-level judgment rather than guessing – a strategy question, an unusual technical blocker, anything bigger than a standard install.
- Send a short, clear write-up after every session: what got done, what’s outstanding, and what the client needs next.
Ongoing Support
- Become the first point of contact for routine “my Claude Code isn’t working” requests.
Required Skills
- Comfortable working in a terminal/command line: installing packages, reading error messages, following a technical runbook.
- Able to run a troubleshooting screen-share session solo, calmly, including when the connection drops or the client is non-technical and frustrated.
- Clear, concise written communication – a session write-up should be readable in ten seconds.
- Patient and methodical with non-technical clients.
- Reliable availability during AU business hours for live client calls.
- Strong spoken English.
Nice to have:
- Prior IT helpdesk, technical support, or remote-onboarding experience.
- Any hands-on exposure to Claude Code or a similar AI coding tool.
- Comfort with remote-desktop tools (Chrome Remote Desktop, AnyDesk, or similar).
Who This Role Suits
- Enjoys troubleshooting and explaining technical things in plain language.
- Stays calm and methodical when a session goes sideways.
- Documents what happened rather than just fixing it and moving on.
- Knows when to escalate rather than guessing.
- Comfortable being the face of the business on live client calls.
What Success Looks Like
- Clients come away from setup sessions confident and unblocked.
- The setup runbook keeps getting sharper because issues are documented as they’re found.
- Rob only hears about the sessions that genuinely need his judgment.
- Routine “it’s not working” requests get resolved without escalation.
- Client onboarding scales without adding hours to Rob’s week.
Key Attributes:
- Proactive
- High level of attention to detail
- Strong communication skills in both written and verbal
- Highly Organised
- Works well in any team environment
- Reliable – can work autonomously
