Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly capable Marketing & Social Media Virtual Assistant with a strong background in short-form video editing, content execution, digital marketing systems, and performance tracking.

This role is ideal for someone who understands how content, branding, and data work together to drive growth – and who can execute quickly while maintaining quality and consistency. The VA will support content production, social media execution, marketing workflows, reporting, and AI-powered automation.

The selected candidate will be enrolled in an AI course led by Scott to deepen their knowledge and help implement AI-powered marketing, automation, and retention systems for our business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit and produce high-performing short-form videos (Reels, TikTok, Shorts).
  • Repurpose long-form content into multiple clips for A/B testing.
  • Maintain consistent visual branding and support graphic design.

    Initial Focus:

    • Complete Scott’s training to align with current strategy.
    • Systematize Ralph’s 6-month content backlog for automated scheduling.
    • Build a new social media infrastructure to enable a consistent posting cadence (e.g., 3x/day on TikTok, 2x/day on Instagram).

1. Content Creation & Production (Primary Role)

  • Create short-form video content for:
    • Instagram Reels
    • TikTok
    • YouTube Shorts
  • Apply:
    • Hooks
    • Captions
    • Overlays
    • Transitions
    • Native platform styles
  • Maintain consistent branding and storytelling
  • Produce multiple variations of content (test different hooks/angles)

2. Video Editing & Repurposing

  • Edit raw content (podcasts, recordings, existing footage)
  • Repurpose long-form content into multiple short-form clips
  • Continuously generate content from existing library (they mentioned 6 months of content available)
  • Adapt content per platform (e.g. TikTok vs Instagram vs YouTube)

3. Social Media Management & Posting

  • Schedule and publish content across platforms
  • Manage posting cadence per platform:
    • TikTok: ~3/day
    • Instagram: ~2/day
    • YouTube: ~1/week
  • Use scheduling tools to batch and automate posting
  • Ensure content is distributed correctly per platform requirements

4. Content System Setup & Management (VERY Important)

    • Stores content library
    • Organizes assets
    • Enables easy repurposing
  • Set up workflows for:
    • Content production
    • Review cycles
    • Scheduling
  • Help create a scalable content engine, not just post manually

5. AI-Driven Content Execution

  • Apply learnings from Scott’s training to content creation
  • Use AI tools to:
    • Generate content variations
    • Repurpose efficiently
    • Scale output
  • Translate raw ideas/messages into AI-generated content

6. Weekly Content Production Workflow

  • Deliverables expected:
    • Weekly content batches
      • Example:
        • Tuesday: Content sets ready for review
        • Thursday: Videos ready for review
  • Work in a pre-planned system, not reactive posting
  • Submit content for approval before scheduling

7. Content Calendar & Scheduling

  • Plan and organize content in advance
  • Upload and schedule posts using tools (e.g. Meta scheduler, others)
  • Ensure continuous posting without daily manual effort

8. Graphic Design Support

  • Create visual assets / graphics (not just “light” — they want stronger capability)
  • Support branding across all content
  • Ensure visuals are clear, engaging, and on-brand

9. Platform Optimization

  • Adjust content depending on platform:
    • Format
    • Style
    • Audience

  • Learn:
    • Brand voice
    • Messaging
    • Content expectations
  • Produce sample content early on for feedback

  • Participate in ongoing communication (Slack, calls)

12. Content Research & Library Utilization

  • Pull from existing content library
  • Identify:
    • What content can be reused
    • What can be turned into multiple assets
  • Continuously extract value from past content

Candidate Profile & Team Fit

    • Proactive, creative, and able to interpret rough ideas into polished content.
    • Honest and direct; comfortable admitting mistakes and asking for help.
  • Experience & Background:
    • Professional experience required; not a recent high school graduate.
