About The Role:

This is an Australian e-commerce brand specialising in easy-to-use, pre-glued false lashes designed for busy mums and women who want effortless beauty solutions. Born from a real-life beauty mishap, this was created to provide a simpler, quicker alternative to traditional glue-on lashes.

We are in an exciting growth phase and are looking for a creative and proactive Social Media & Digital Marketing Assistant to help scale the brand and increase online sales.

Role Overview

This role is focused on executing enhanced social media content strategy, managing digital marketing tools, and supporting overall brand growth.

The successful candidate will be responsible for content creation, editing, scheduling, performance tracking, and supporting email marketing and review generation strategies.

This is an execution-focused role. Strategy direction will be provided by the Founder, with opportunities to contribute ideas and research trends.

Key Responsibilities

1. Social Media Content Creation & Management

  • Develop and schedule engaging content across Instagram and Meta platforms
  • Create 2–3 high-quality feed posts per week (educational, promotional, UGC-based)
  • Support daily Instagram Stories posting
  • Edit short-form video content (Reels) optimised for engagement and conversions
  • Repurpose existing user-generated content (UGC) effectively
  • Research trending content within the lash and beauty niche
  • Ensure content aligns with weekly structure:
    • Beginning of week: Call-to-action (drive orders for weekend use)
    • Mid-week: Educational content (how-to, application tips)
    • Weekend: Lifestyle / customer feature content

2. Content Performance Tracking & Reporting

  • Monitor post performance metrics (reach, engagement, conversions)
  • Track trends and identify high-performing content
  • Provide weekly performance summaries with improvement suggestions
  • Identify opportunities to optimise content for sales

3. Community Support (Light Involvement)

  • Collaborate with Founder regarding community engagement
  • Support comment moderation if required (Founder prefers to handle most replies personally)

4. Email Marketing Support (Klaviyo) 

  • Assist with email campaign setup and optimisation (via existing platform)
  • Support post-purchase email flows
  • Help improve review generation campaigns
  • Research strategies to increase authentic customer reviews

5. Digital Tool & Platform Management

  • Support management of Meta Ads (execution support, not full strategy ownership)
  • Assist in implementing ad creative improvements
  • Support e-commerce marketing tools and integrations
  • Conduct competitor research and trend analysis

  • Consistent posting cadence (minimum 2–3 posts weekly + stories)

Ideal Candidate

  • 3–5 years’ experience in Social Media Management (preferably in beauty or e-commerce)
  • Strong short-form video editing skills
  • Creative mindset with an eye for aesthetics
  • Understanding of Meta platforms and basic paid ads execution
  • Experience working with e-commerce brands
  • Strong written and spoken English
  • Organised, proactive, and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable working in a founder-led, fast-growing business
