Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic Marketing Assistant (Virtual Assistant – Social Media Marketing) to support our marketing efforts across social media platforms, email marketing, and content creation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in science, mathematics, data analytics, or economics, coupled with excellent writing and research skills, especially in a B2B context. This remote role offers the opportunity to work with a forward-thinking team and make a significant contribution to our marketing strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Management (LinkedIn & Twitter):
- Source and curate high-quality content relevant to the agricultural industry.
- Write concise and engaging social media posts based on our technical reports.
- Craft compelling captions and schedule posts as per the content calendar.
- Design visually appealing social media graphics and thumbnails using Canva (templates provided).
- Monitor competitor activity and industry trends.
- Analyse social media performance and generate reports.
- Schedule and manage 2 posts per week for LinkedIn and Twitter.
Content Creation:
- Develop engaging content for our monthly email newsletter, summarising industry reports and data insights.
- Ensure clear and concise communication through strong writing and content structuring skills.
- Assist in creating basic video content using Canva or basic video editing software.
Email Marketing (Zoho CRM):
- Utilise Zoho’s email marketing tools to create email templates and trackable links.
- Knowledge or experience in Zoho CRM is preferred.
Additional Tasks:
- Assist with basic administrative tasks, such as updating Zoho CRM records.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and proactively share insights.
- Collaborate effectively with the Sales & Marketing team to execute marketing strategies
Skills & Qualifications:
- Background: Ideally in science, mathematics, data analytics, or economics.
- Experience: 2+ years in social media management and content creation.
- Writing Skills: Proven ability to write clear, concise, and engaging content for various formats, including blogs, reports, articles, and newsletters.
- Research Skills: Strong research ability, particularly in a B2B context, for lead generation, competitor research, and market analysis.
- Tools & Platforms:
- Proficiency in Canva for graphic design (templates provided).
- Familiarity with LinkedIn and Twitter (X) for professional social media management.
- Experience with scheduling tools and social media analytics.
- Knowledge of Zoho CRM and email marketing tools (preferred).
- Knowledge and experience with video editing software (bonus).
- Organisational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
